Why are my Charts in Excel Services gray?

SharePoint excel services charting generates the chart on the server each time the page gets requested. Unfortunately, these charts look beautiful at design time because our desktops have such great video with millions of colors etc, but on the server, the display settings may be set to 16 bit.
