- Not many people know this, but Microsoft has released a BDC tool that helps you create application definition files for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
Download the Office SharePoint Server 2007 SDK from here

After installing the SDK go to this folder and install the BDC Definition Editor by double clicking on the Business Data Catalog MSI.
